Dr Casanova graduated in dentistry from the University of Oviedo, Spain in 2006. Following a period of work in private practice she moved to New York where she completed 2 years full-time training in Periodontology at New York University College of Dentistry. She completed her PhD in Medicine in 2012, where she investigated the links between Periodontal disease and systemic diseases such as Diabetes.
Since arriving in the UK in 2009 Dr Casanova has restricted her practice to periodontology and implant dentistry offering a full range of periodontal treatments including regenerative and cosmetic procedures, microsurgical periodontal plastic surgery (gum surgery), implant dentistry and bone augmentation procedures. She is a Specialist Clinical Teacher at KCL Guy’s Hospital.
Dr Casanova is a member of the British Society of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, Royal Society of Medicine and the Association of Dental Implantology UK. She regularly attends National and International conferences and publishes and presents her work in peer reviewed dental journals and dental meetings.

Dr Holmes qualified with honours from Sydney University, Australia. He then spent 4 years working in one of Sydney’s leading cosmetic and implant practices. In 2006, he relocated to New York and spent the next 4 years undertaking full time postgraduate studies at New York University learning the most advanced techniques in implant dentistry. He also completed a Masters in biomaterials and biomimetics with research focusing on dental implant surfaces and grafting technologies.
Since arriving in the UK in 2010, Dr Holmes has focused his work on the more difficult and challenging implant cases. Having been through implant treatment himself, he is well placed to empathize with his patients and explain the procedure from first-hand experience, paying special attention to the maintenance and long term stability of the treatment provided. He is also passionate about looking the general dental health of his patients and when indicated doing minimally invasive cosmetic treatments to improve the overall look of their smile.
Dr Holmes is a member of the American Academy of Osseointegration, Association of Dental Implantology UK and sat on the board of the young clinician’s committee. He regularly attends National and International conferences and publishes and presents his work in peer reviewed dental journals and dental meetings.

Dr. MacGregor earned her DDS and MS degree from the Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde Egas Moniz, one of the most renowned dental schools in Portugal, in 2010. After three years of private practice in London and part-time teaching in Lisbon, she joined the New York University (NYU) in 2013 and completed a Certificate and a subsequent Fellowship in the Advanced Program for International Dentists in Prosthodontics. In 2015, she joined the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics and received her Prosthodontics Specialty Certification in 2018.
During her residency, Dr. MacGregor was appointed Chief Resident, a designation that is offered to the strongest and most efficient student in the program. She served NYU on the Graduate Council for Ethics and Professionalism, presented numerous scientific posters at major Prosthodontic meetings in the U.S. and was the recipient of several awards for outstanding academic performance and excellence in Prosthodontics including the Harold Litvak Award (2017), the Adisman Award (2018) and the Inaugural Gary Goldstein Award of Excellence (2018). Upon completion of her Specialty Certificate, she was employed as a faculty at NYU, as an Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics.
Dr. MacGregor is a member of the American Academy of Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, the British Dental Association and the Portuguese Dental Association. She regularly attends National and International conferences and has some of her research in the process for manuscript submission.
Dr. MacGregor describes Prosthodontics as an advanced specialty that, in a patient centered care, brings together Science and Art, responsible for the oral rehabilitation and achieving the most functional and aesthetic results. In her words, it enables practitioners to explore their most creative side during the design of a “new smile”. In addition, she is grateful that Prosthodontics has allowed her to participate in the reconstruction of those who, unfortunately, present severe congenital or acquired maxillofacial defects that require multidisciplinary intervention.
